Let's enjoy Queer Pride, but...

Let's not forget those who are suffering, nor allow anesthetizing fantasies of normalcy bias and toxic positivity to convince us that everything will inevitably "work out" or "be just fine."

Now is the time to get real, as we harness and channel our outrage to crash the cis-tem. In fact it's long past time.

Now is the time to band together, get empowered, and fight for all bodies under attack. In fact it's long past time.

Now is the time to get off the sidelines, summon our courage, and draw a moral line in the sand. In fact it's long past time.

This is our time. In fact it always has been.

We just have to unite and own it.
